We are creating a place of beauty, magic and nurturing that stimulates limitless imagination and creativity – supporting our guests to develop and experience a sense of our ‘Extended Selves’ and our evolving human potential.
Hearth and Soul is a sanctuary, a retreat, a place of quiet respite on a longer journey for all who seek peace and quiet away from the stresses of modern life. Amid trees and mountains our home provides space for meditation and reflection, healing and transformation, rest and rejuvenation.
The current times
We are living through extraordinary times of great global change, which concurrently contain the potential of an equally extraordinary and evolutionary leap in human consciousness.
We are moving out of a paradigm of separation and fear (fear of insufficiency for example) into a new paradigm of co-operation, trust and abundance and from profit-driven chemical farming to sustainable permaculture, improving the fertility of the soil and thus producing strong healthy foods.
On the personal level, we are moving from a consciousness of separation – subject to and limited by external factors – to one of oneness and being co-creators of the world we want to create. Together, let us take the necessary steps to move beyond our old paradigms and begin to work co-operatively – assisting and empowering each other to become whole, healed and healthy humans.
The dual corner-stones of the Hearth and Soul Vision are:
1. Sustainable living in a co-operative and intentional community, and
2. The evolution of consciousness – individual and collective.
Evolution through celebration and spiritual practice
We are creating a place of beauty, magic and nurturing that stimulates limitless
imagination and creativity – supporting our guests to develop and experience a sense of our ‘Extended Selves’ and our evolving human potential. We encourage conscious connection
to the emergence of a New Earth and to our greater Universal context.
220 hectares of spectacular mountainside with fynbos, poplar and eucalyptus forests,
four small dams and a pristine river running through.
Plentiful water supply
Our drinking water comes directly via gravity-feed from a mountain spring,
and we pump from the perennial river to irrigate the lands.
The original buildings have been extensively upgraded, in an eco-friendly manner, our own poplar and blue-gum trees have been used for beams and internal woodwork, all adding to the unique charm of our venue.
Ten en-suite Bedrooms with lovely stoeps (patios), and balcony views of the mountains.
A large Conference/Function Room (14m x 10m) which can seat up to 120 people.
Dormitory accommodation is also available as a price-sensitive alternative.
Whether with overnight guests or groups on longer workshops, we enjoy interacting and sharing the vision we hold here of eco-friendly, sustainable living.
